Important Dates
Students in the School of Medicine who wish to apply for financial aid for the 2009-10 academic year should meet the following deadlines:
March 2, 2009 - Deadline to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Parental income and asset information is required to be considered for institutional grants and scholarships
- Review "Applying" for tips on completing your FAFSA
May 1, 2009 - Deadline to submit the SOM Certification Form
- The SOM Certification Form is required of all financial aid applicants and must be received by the May 1st deadline to be considered for institutional grants/scholarships
- Completed forms must be submitted to the SOM Office of Financial Aid and Educational Financing
May 1, 2009 - Tax returns and supporting documents deadline
- To be considered for institutional funds, including grants and scholarships, you must provide a copy of your and your parent's 2008 federal income tax return
- Any supporting documents needed will be requested by the SOM Office of Financial Aid and must be submitted by May 1st. You should check your application status and any requested documents by logging on to Visual Aid and selecting "My Aid Application Status".
