Important Information About Paying Your Winter Term Fees with Aid
To make sure your financial aid is available to pay your winter fees:
- Accept and approve your award on My Aid Award.
- Enroll in classes no later than Tuesday, December 15th. You must be enrolled in the Minimum Required Units (MRU) of 6 units. Pell Grant, TEACH Grant, Cal Grant B and Cal Grant B Stipend require 12 units for the maximum award.
- Pay any past due charges you have on your Zot Account.
- After your fees are paid, any remaining financial aid funds will be disbursed
to you beginning Monday, December 28th.

When will I receive my winter term financial aid remainder?
If you paid your fees by the deadline of Tuesday, December 15th, and your Zot Account indicates that you have a credit balance, your remainder will be sent to you:
-By EFT: (if you selected electronic deposit) Funds will be transmitted to your bank account beginning Monday, December 28th.
-By Check: (if you selected mail) Your check will be mailed out Tuesday, December 29th (please allow 3-5 days mailing time for it to reach your address).
You may review or make changes to the method you selected by checking the DEFT system on your Zot Account.

If some or all instruction for all or part of Academic Year 2020-21 is delivered remotely, will there be a reduction to tuition or mandatory fees?
Some or all instruction for all or part of Academic Year 20-21 may be delivered remotely. Tuition and mandatory fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the Academic Year.

COVID-19 Update
In compliance with UCI's policy to practice "social distancing" during this pandemic outbreak, the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships lobby will be closed to in-person service beginning Tuesday, March 17th, until further notice.
Our office remains operational as staff work remotely. We appreciate your patience as staff are not on campus to update the status of documents that are submitted to our office, or process outside agency scholarship checks.

Selected for Verification?
Have you received notification from our office that your financial aid file has been selected for verification?
If so, make sure you submit the requested documents by the deadline indicated. Failing to submit your documents on time could jeopardize your financial aid award.
If you are an entering student and your financial aid award is no longer available on My Aid you should check My Aid Status for documents that are needed.
