Eligibility Requirements:

  • Recipient is a member of an ethnic or racial minority or any individual who demonstrates a defined committment to issues of diversity within their academic career.
  • U.S citizen.
  • Academic achievement as reflected by a minimum 3.0 GPA and have completed at least one semester/quarter of classes at an accredited medical school.
    • Required Materials:

  • A completed Scholarship Application Form (can request one from the Financial Aid Office).
  • One-page typed essay describing how you will utilize your medical degree to promote ethnic diversity.
  • A certified copy of medical school transcript.
  • Completed applications can be faxed to the attention of Kathryn Kunst at (248) 569-6737, or emailed at Kathryn@BuckfireLaw.com with the subject line "2014 Medical School Diversity Scholarship", or mailed.
