Eligibility Requirements:

  • Resident of Connecticut for 5 years
  • 3rd year medical student in a four year program
  • Current enrollment in a not-for profit medical school accredited by the AMA/WHO
  • Have financial need
  • Academic excellence determined by a copy of the applicantís transcript and the results of participation in Part I of the National Boards
  • Extracurricular interest and community service
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Written statements of financial disclosure and medical career plan

Scholarship Information:

Administered by Waterbury Medical Association. Was established in 1988 to provide scholarships for 3rd year medical school students, entering their fourth year of medical school, who were residents of Connecticut for 5 years.
