Donor Thank You Letters
When you have been awarded a donor-funded scholarship it is important to show your appreciation by sending a thank-you letter to the donor. Please take a moment to draft a letter of appreciation to the donor who has so generously established and/or donated to a scholarship fund. Receiving thank-you letters reminds donors of the impact of their scholarship gift; and many of them continue to give additional scholarship funds because they know their gifts are deeply appreciated and that they are helping deserving students realize their potential.
UC Irvine Scholarships
For students who have received a UC Irvine Scholarship, the Office of Donor Relations has created an online thank-you letter submission process. The Office of Donor Relations sends scholarship reports to donors who support scholarship funds. By doing so, we are able to reinforce the impact of their gift. Your assistance in completing an online recipient profile and thank-you submission form is essential in helping us prepare this impactful component of the report. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to express your appreciation, provide additional information/updates to those who have so generously established and/or donated to this fund. This communication makes it possible for UC Irvine to better steward our donors and encourages their continued financial support, which is a vital component of the cultivation of future gifts.

If you have received an external scholarship, we encourage you to send a thank-you letter to the organization who has granted you the scholarship. For these letters you may want to call the organization and ask them to whom the letter should be addressed and the mailing address.
