Requesting a Tax Return Transcript

Step 1:

Visit www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript and click on the "Get Transcript by MAIL" button:

Step 2:

Enter your Social Security number, date of birth, street address and zip code. Then click on the "Continue" button.

Step 3:

Click on the drop-down menu beneath "Type of Transcript" and select "Return Transcript."

Step 4:

Click on the drop-down menu beneath "Tax Year" and select "2016". Then click on the "Continue" button.

Step 5:

If you see this screen, the IRS has accepted your request for a 2016 return transcript. Note that it will take about 5-10 days before you receive your transcript in the mail. Click on "Exit."

Step 6:

Once you receive your transcript in the mail, fax a copy to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at (949) 824-4876 or mail one to our office at:

Please make sure to write the student's name and UCI ID# at the top of the first page of the transcript.

NOTE: The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships does not accept documents as email attachments.
