Osher Scholarship Endowment for California Community College Transfer Students

Application Deadline: Friday, May 26, 2017 5:00PM

Award Notification: Late August 2017

Award Amount: Up to $5,000

Application Submission Process: Applicants must complete the Osher Scholarship application.

Through the generosity of The Bernard Osher Foundation, the Osher Scholarship Endowment for California Community College Transfer Students will assist students transferring to UCI for fall 2017 quarter. The scholarship will aid students who demonstrate academic promise and significant financial need. The scholarship will be applied towards tuition and fees only. Preference will be given to students with dependents or unique financial difficulties. Eligible applicants must file a 2017-2018 FAFSA application at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Applicants who are not eligible to file a FAFSA and qualify for the AB 540 fee exemption waiver must submit a 2017-2018 California Dream Act application. The California Dream Act application can be foundd on the California Student Aid Commission website (CSAC) at www.dream.csac.ca.gov.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Undergraduate transfer student from a California Community College for Fall 2017
  • 3.0 GPA
  • 90 transfer units
  • Show academic promise and a commitment to obtaining a Bachelor's degree

Additional Information:

The following students are not eligible to apply:

  • Students who possess a Bachelor's degree
  • Students who possess a Master's degree
  • International students visiting the United States with the intention of leaving the country after graduation
