Nitori Scholarship

Application Deadline: Thursday, March 30, 2017

Award Notification: July 2018

Award Amount: Varies due to available funding (7 awards)

Application Submission Process: Applicants must submit the Nitori Scholarship application to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at 102 Aldrich Hall.

Please note: Finalists will be contacted to attend a mandatory interview with the Nitori Scholarship review committee in late June or early July.

Through the generosity of Nitori USA, the Nitori Scholarship supports promising UC Irvine students majoring in or study is focused on Business, Economics, Marketing, Communication and/or Accounting. Seven scholarships will be given for the 2017-18 academic year. Recipients will be required to attend at least two UCI Career Center workshops during the 2017-18 academic year. Recipients will also be priority applicants for Aki-Home Furnishing/ Nitori-USA's paid internship program.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student
  • U.S Citizen or a U.S National
  • Be a 3rd or 4th year student for the 2017-18 academic year (5th year students may be considered)
  • Full-time enrollment for 2017-18 academic year. Must be enrolled for Fall, Winter and Spring quarters
  • Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
  • Majoring in or study focused on Business, Economics, Marketing, Communication or Accounting
  • Demonstrate community service and/or community leadership
  • Must provide one letter of recommendation. Maximum of two letters of recommendation may be submitted.
  • Recipients will be required to attend at least two UCI Career Center workshops during the 2017-18 academic year
  • Recipients will be priority applicants for Aki-Home Furnishing/ Nitori-USA's paid internship program
